«Between Light and Shadow»

I am photographer Elena Brezhitskaya. I take pictures in the genres of landscape, still life and macro. I am a diploma holder and winner of all-Russian and international contests, participant and diploma holder of international photo exhibitions, participant of the International Action Art organized by the UNESCO Club of Piraeus and the Islands of Greece at the Marianna V. Vardinoyannis Cultural Centre in Athens in 2023.

...On the verge of light and shadow magic is born. Colours change shades, objects acquire depth and mystery, stones and rocks – the soul. That is why I like to take pictures on this edge, and my exhibition is called «Between Light and Shadow».

These are sunsets and sunrises. These are flowers bathed in sunlight spots. These are still lifes made in the technique of a light brush, when in complete darkness, with a special flashlight, you «draw» the composition with light. And each still life turns out to be unique, because the light pattern, its superimposition, as the camera saw it at that moment, cannot be repeated.
