The Renaissance style of 15-16 centuries.
A new style, called by its contemporaries the Renaissance style, brought to the art and culture of medieval Europe a new spirit of freedom and faith in the boundless opportunities of the person. A man – is a creator of beauty and freedom. Large spaces with rounded arches, finishing with carved wood, abundance of details from which the whole is gathered.
The main elements of the style are a pilaster, a pillar, a pylon, an archivolt and an architrave. The Order system of the Renaissance style successfully combines various combinations made of these elements. Orders are usually ranked in a classic subordination. Heavy Doric order is placed at the bottom, and the lightest Corinthian one – is at the top. Herewith walls again acquire a tectonic significance.
Rationality and clear boundaries are inherent to the Renaissance. There are no more broken lines. Lines become strict and usually rectangular. The Renaissance welcomes simple geometric forms: sphere, cube, rectangle and square.
As the Renaissance style was originated in Italy, in the middle Ages for the construction of gardens, palaces and other structures were invited architects, educated on the Italian samples. Architects of the Renaissance were able to create that environment which satisfied notable people with the opportunity to be engaged in art, music and literature.
Colour range: soft and light, dark and somber, sonorous and rich; cold shades of white and pastel range.

Furniture of the Renaissance epoch – this is the clarity of constructions and lines. Furniture of clear shapes with architectural elements like a palazzo with columns, pilasters, cornices, gables. Item № 1 – a bed (on a hill), № 2 – a chest-сassone (carved and painted). 2 types of tables: rectangular with a thick top on 2 pillars; central (round, with 6 -, 8- angles) on a single support. Venetian furniture, cabinet furniture.
Furniture is made of wood or metal. Gilding is popular. Closets and surfaces of other furniture are decorated with embossed pattern in the antique manner.

For the interior design in the Renaissance style floors should be made of natural stone or wood. Instead of natural stone today is rationally to use granite or ceramic tiles which imitate marble or other natural stone.
Ceilings are high, made in the form of arches. For interior design in the style of the Renaissance epoch multilevel ceilings with painting or ornaments in the center, made in the manner of antiquity, perfectly suit.
Walls in the Renaissance style – these are smooth natural stone, marble, sandstone and plaster. Exactly in the Renaissance epoch decorative plaster began to be actively used for the decoration of walls, usually with which covered only one of the walls. Today it is convenient to use a ceramic tile or a modern plaster imitating marble surface.
